When you make your boyfriend where vintage rings and flash tats. 😛

This is definitely one of my more elegant concert looks…I call it “The Western Julie Andrews.” I ended up loving the way this outfit turned out. I found the entire ensemble during a shopping frenzy in Wicker Park–about an hour before we left for Phish. Milwaukee Ave is definitely my go-to shopping spot in Chicago. I like it for the same reason guys like girls with belly button rings- It’s a sure thing. I went out knowing exactly what I was looking for and ended up finding the entire thing. The fashion gods must’ve been in my favor because that LITERALLY NEVER HAPPENS. EVER.
I finally gave the bandana a try and I must say, it’s my new favorite accessory. I was wary at first (as I am with most new trends), but I finally gave in and bought a $6 bandana. There’s something about buying a bandana for $6 that really makes you feel like a sucker. Sureeee- this one is “vintage.” But I’m pretty sure I have about 15 “vintage” bandanas sitting in a box in my mother’s basement. Sigh. While I think it’s great that bandanas are back, I can’t get over the Limited Too loving, Britney Spears obsessed 3rd grader in me who wants to wear it like THIS. AM I RIGHT!? Don’t tell me you never wore your bandana like Lizzie McGuire. Anyways, for now I’m rocking it western-style.
You’ll definitely be seeing more of this bohemian bandana look in the future. How do you wear your bandana? Let me know– I’m dying to try this a few other ways! xx.
